"So here’s to the beginning of what I hope to be an ongoing
conversation about the
Port of Rochester development, the fast ferry, and things to
do in and around Rochester and Toronto. "

Welcome to the first issue of the
PORT
OF ROCHESTER.com newsletter!
If your visits to our web site are any indication, the excitement about
the fast ferry is building! For those of you who like numbers, there has
been an almost 800% increase in site traffic since November 2003. We’re
starting to see more activity from Canadian visitors too – as everyone
prepares for the delivery of the fast ferry, the inaugural trip, and the
continued development of the
Port
of Toronto and the Port of Rochester projects.
|
PORT OF ROCHESTER.com started in 2000 as an
information site following the progress of the Port of Rochester
development and the “potential” fast ferry project. On March 1, 2004,
based on the significant increase in site traffic, the site was
re-launched with a focus to achieve the following goals:
-
Support the
success of the fast ferry
-
Promote
international tourism
-
Support the
growth of the Rochester, Toronto and surrounding area local
economies
To
achieve these goals, obviously we need your help! So, I encourage you to
point your friends to our site
AND
we invite you to take an active part in the development of the site and
site content.
We
encourage you to send us your stories. Where did you go? What did you
do? What would you recommend for others to try? Also, send us your
comments and suggestions about the site, so that we can grow our
services in valuable ways to meet your changing needs.
Lastly, we’re always looking for new and creative ways to partner with
individuals, groups and/or larger companies. The only requirement we
have is that we partner with the intent of meeting the goals that have
been established for the site.
Contact us, we’re interested in your ideas and we’re very easy to
partner with!
