BTA is
Design Architect for the Ferry Terminal Building
creating a US port of entry for the high speed
international ferry to Toronto, Canada proposed by
CATS. The 55,000sf terminal facility will be housed
in the renovated North Warehouse Building including
departures and arrivals halls, border crossing
facilities for pedestrians, cars, and busses; and
offices for INS and US Customs. The building is
redesigned to provide ground level restaurant and
retail facilities and upper level office space for
lease, creating new life and activity on the
riverfront in Rochester. This will be the center
point of a redevelopment district in Charlotte. BTA,
provided conceptual designs for the new riverwalk,
streetscape and plazas, working with a local
consultant team headed by
LaBella
Associates, PC contracted to the City of
Rochester.
